Materials:

  • 3-liter plastic soda bottle
  • Colored tape
  • Markers
  • Cardboard
  • Cardboard tubes
  • Duct tape

Instructions:

1.  Instant Golf Holes: For each on, trim the bottom off a 3-liter soda bottle, then cut out an arched hole (pic shows 3-1/4 inches wide and 4 inches tall) in the base.

2.  Use colored tape and markers to decorate and number the bottle.

3. Makeshift Clubs: Fold a 3- by 11-1/2 piece of cardboard around the bottom of a long, sturdy cardboard tube (ours came from a roll of wrapping paper). Wrap duct tape around the two pieces to secure them together, then wrap the rest of the tube.

Bubble Burst Paintings

www.familyfun.go.com

Blowing bubbles never seems to lose its charm for little kids, but here's a colorful way to make a good thing even better. To start, stir 2 tablespoons of tempera paint OR 15 drops of food coloring into a 1/2 cup bubble solution. Then tape a large piece of paper to a fence or against it. The end result will likely be more about the process than the final product, but they'll love watching the bubbles hit the paper and burst into vibrant circles and splatters.
